Our next book club meeting will take place on January 20th, 2010, at Chapters Rideau. We will be discussing Joseph Boyden's prize-winning 2nd novel
Through Black Spruce. It won the
Scotiabank Giller Prize in 2008 and is currently
longlisted for the 2010 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. Also check out Boyden's first novel, the similarly brilliant
